Described as designed to go anywhere and do anything, this new Osprey Archeon Backpacks series includes 8 durable packs in the size range 25-70 liters.
In this Osprey Archeon series you have separate packs for men and women, in the volumes of 25, 30, 45, 65, and 70 liters, so you have them 8 in their nominal capacity sizes.
But the packs of 45, 65, and 70 liters are built in two sub-sizes, so regarding the volume (size), you have 11 packs in total. For example, the Osprey Archeon 70 pack is built in S/M and L/XL versions of 68 and 79 liters, etc.
Regarding the features, there are big differences:
- The two smallest Archeon packs (of 25 liters for men and women) are with a roll-top closure.
- The Archeon packs of 30 and 45 liters are with a classic lid, but this lid is with one buckle only.
- The Archeon 65 and Archeon 70 packs are with a lid equipped with standard two buckles.
- Only the two largest packs (65 and 70 liters) are with a separate bottom compartment.
- The two largest packs have a floating lid, it is fixed in the packs of 30 and 45 liters.
- The packs of 45, 65, and 70 liters have an additional U-shaped front access.
- The packs of 30 liters have an extra single-zipper front access.
The common features for all packs include:
- 100% Recycled fabrics. They are certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). They are also treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) that contains no harmful PFCs.
- Rugged metal componentry and buckles.
- Rain cover included with all of them.
- Shoulder harness is adjustable in all the Archeon packs. You have a Velcro connection, so moving the harness up and down is easy.
- All are equipped with an internal hydration sleeve.
- All have side stretch pockets.
- The fabric is thick and durable and all the packs here are on the heavy side.
