If you are a complete beginner in kayaking perhaps you want to know how to enter and exit a kayak. The principles are the same for inflatable and rigid kayaks. So to enter, step into the cockpit and then sit down on the rear deck. Normally, you should put your hands on either side of the rim. Then extend the legs into the cockpit, and move the body forward into the seat.
To exit, do everything in reverse, move your feet from the foot pegs and straighten your legs, put hands on the sides of the rim and lift your body and sit on the rear deck. After that lift your feet out of the cockpit before moving them to either side so that you can stand up.
